The Altbier ‘Neu’ was the third beer Orbit Beers brewed back in July 2014! Named after the 1970s Krautrock band Neu from Düsseldorf, the beer is back by popular demand in 2024 and is making an appearance for the 10th birthday this summer.  

Altbier originates from Düsseldorf, making it a fitting rival and neighbour to Orbit’s Kölsch-style beer, Nico. 

Neu pours a deep amber colour with beautiful reddish hues. It offers a strong malt aroma, nutty and slightly toasty, with ester notes from the yeast. On the palate, expect bready malt flavours with a touch of sweetness and a hint of spice from the Pilgrim and Tettnang hops. It’s full-bodied yet dry, with a long-lasting bitterness.
