We’re looking for part-time bar staff to join us at Orbit Taproom. Located in the vibrant heart of Walworth, SE17, we're on the hunt for an experienced professional who is confident and responsible, has a passion for excellent customer service, and has a keen interest in great beer and great music.
With our love for music and vinyl, we host regular DJ nights, live music events, spoken word evenings, and bring-your-own-vinyl nights at the taproom. With a high standard of drinks on offer, award-winning beers (which are brewed over the road from the taproom), and great food from our resident chefs, we’re proud that Orbit Taproom is not just a much-loved community hub, but a destination venue in South London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers
- Serve draught beers, spirits, wines, and soft drinks
- Offer informed recommendations based on product knowledge and customer preferences
- Maintain composure and deliver excellence in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Proactively maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the taproom
- Help with set up for gigs, DJ sets, and events
- Contribute to various tasks, from stocking the fridge with kegs to handling booking inquiries
- Engage with customers, sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for our beers and music selection
Requirements:
- Previous bar or hospitality experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for beer and music
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work weekend and evening shifts
- Team player with a hands-on approach
What We Offer:
- London Living Wage: £13.15 per hour
- Flexible part-time schedule: Wednesday to Sunday 12-18hrs per week.

Hours of Operation:
- Wednesday to Friday: 4 PM - 11 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 12 PM - 10/11 PM
