Whether you're popping into the taproom or out and about around London, here is an update of what we've got going on in June.
Thursday 6th - Live Music
Orbit Beers Taproom
CRÆTIONS are back, performing live in the taproom on the first Thursday of June (6th). The Jazz trio is formed from some of the members of @pyjaenmusic and they'll be starting at 8pm. Free to attend, we just advise booking a table.
Friday 7th - Goro DJ Set
Orbit Beers Taproom
London Jazz Kitscha aka Goro plays hard-bop, post-bop jazz with a touch of Latin music.
London Jazz Kitscha is inspired by the Japanese “Jazz Kissa”, an audiophile listening cafe. There used to be many places in Japan where you could listen to music and feel the atmosphere.
Therefore, following its name, he aims to play music that makes the audience feel comfortable and relaxed. However, this idea should not be described as chill-out music. He believes in the energetic power of jazz music.
Apart from his own event ‘London Jazz Kitscha’, Goro regularly appears as a guest DJ at Jazztrain_shoreditch and Grow Hackney jam sessions.
Saturday 8th - CLOSED
Orbit Beers Taproom
We're SO sorry, but we're closed on Saturday 8th June for the whole day. A rarity here at Orbit! One of our ex-members of staff is getting married here otherwise we wouldn't let you down.
HOWEVER, you can get a pint of Nico down the road that day at Pullens Open Studios where we'll have a pop up bar (see below).
Saturday 8th - Pullen Yard Open Studios
Iliffe Yard, Walworth
Pullens Yard are opening their studios to the public. Live music, food, shopping, workshops, Orbit Beers, and more.
Pullens Yards were purpose-built for designer-makers in the late 1880s.
The studios have housed craftspeople, working with their hands, for a hundred & twenty years. Unsurprisingly, over this length of time, what most of the craftspeople produce has evolved: at one time the Yards boasted lace makers, fan makers, and cabinet makers; who have been replaced by today’s filmmakers, jewellers, and artist potters. A few crafts have stayed, furniture designers and letterpress printers are here now, just as in the days of Queen Victoria.
We'll be serving on Friday 7th June 7-9pm, Saturday 8th June 12-6pm, and Sunday 9th Jue 12-6pm.
Friday 14th - Bring Your Own Vinyl

Orbit Beers Taproom
The third Thursday of every month is Poetry Open Mic Night. However, as you'll notice this month it's on a Wednesday! Sorry for the change of day, we're trying to avoid a clash with the Euros. If you can make it Wednesday, come along to share lyrics, poetry, and thoughts, with or without music in an inclusive, relaxed, and supportive space.
Pop in and chat with Felix beforehand if you're keen to know more, or just come along on the night and find out.
