Wednesday 2nd July - Cuvée de Cologne Launch/ Vertical Tasting 20/23/24/25

We're releasing Cuvée de Cologne 2025 on Wednesday 2nd July, just ahead of our 11th Birthday. The new release will be available on draft, and we're hosting a vertical tasting of the 2025 blend alongside rare batches from 2020, 2023, and 2024 to compare. Tickets are £10, which includes beers to taste, and a talk through with Michael, our lead brewer. Starts at 7pm.
Cuvée de Cologne is a brewer’s choice blend of complex, oak barrel-aged Nico. This limited release is an annual treat among Orbit drinkers.
Every year, Orbit Brewers barrel-age a small portion of Nico Köln Lager in a solera system, leaving it to ferment with specially selected strains of Brettanomyces.
When they fill the barrels with freshly fermented Nico, they do so on top of a small portion of barrel-aged Nico left behind from the previous year’s Cuvée de Cologne. This annual process allows the Cuvée de Cologne to change and develop year on year, whilst retaining links to Nico – the base beer, and previous releases of Cuvée de Cologne.

Friday 4th July - 5 in a Bed DJ Set

5 in a Bed are a DJ collective that began their sessions in bedrooms all over London. Moving out into the world and starting off at Orbit Beers Taproom, join us for their next monthly set. Listen here.
Saturday 5th July - Orbit's 11th Birthday Party

We've been brewing beer in Walworth for 11th years now! Definitely something worth celebrating, and what better way to do so than throwing a big old party at the taproom. We'll have beer specials on for the occasion, Dragon Flame will be barbecuing in the yard with some birthday specials, and Orbit DJs will be on into the evening, finishing up at midnight, thanks to our new later opening hours.

Saturday 12th/Sunday 13th July - Beer Festival
Homestead, Beckenham Place Park
On 12th & 13th July, the beer festival is returning to Homestead in Beckenham Place Park. Live music and DJs all afternoon. With Orbit Beers pouring alongside BR3WERY, Drop Project, Ignition, The Inkspot Brewery, The Kernel Brewery, Small Beer, and Three Hounds.

Thursday 17th July - New Summer Sour Launch/Girls United Fundraiser

Thursday 17th July, we'll not only be showing the Women's Euros Quarter Finals in the back room, but we'll have Girls United in to watch the game with us and host a raffle/fundraiser.
Girls United runs a number of clubs and coaching programmes internationally, empowering girls in local communities through football practices that go beyond the tactical, to develop confident leaders, providing more girls with the opportunity to succeed, on and off the pitch.
We're also launching our new sour that evening "Lemon Verbena and Kaffir Lime Leaf Sour" with 15% of sour sales going to support Girls United's fundraiser that evening.
If you've got one of our new locals cards, you'll get a free half of the new Summer Sour that evening as well!

Friday 18th July - Señor Peludo DJ Set

Señor Peludo is a south-London-based genre-hopping DJ and producer who has been filling dancefloors around the world for two decades, with sets at venues including Burning Man and Boomtown Festival. Currently focused on mashing-up funk and hip hop, he hosts a monthly show in this style on Brixton Radio. Expect similar vibes at the Taproom on Friday 18th.
Friday 18th/Saturday 19th July - London Craft Beer Festival
Magazine London
We'll be at the London Craft Beer Festival over this weekend, serving up some Orbit specials such as our award-winning Nico served from the wood, the famous Tzatziki Sour, and our barrel-aged Cuvee de Cologne 2025. Expect a fantastic lineup of breweries, food vendors, and DJs across two days in the new venue for 2025 - Magazine London!

Thursday 24th July - Spoken Word Night

Usually, the third Thursday of every month is Poetry Open Mic Night, but unfortunately, this month, we've had to MOVE IT to the last Thursday of the month. Sorry about that! Come along to share lyrics, poetry, and thoughts, with or without music in an inclusive, relaxed, and supportive space.
