What's on in August

 

 

Whether you're popping into the taproom or out and about around London, here is an update on what we've got going on in August. 

  

Saturday 5th August

A Change is Brewing Beer Festival

Tap Social Movement, Oxford

 Tap Social Movement grew out of a passion for good beer and social justice. They are a brewery and hospitality organisation that creates employment and training for ex-offenders because they believe that everyone benefits when no-one is excluded from the job market.

Orbit will be serving at their August Beer Festival - A Change is Brewing, alongside 12 other craft breweries from around the country. There will be a great DJ line-up throughout the day, hot dogs (veg and non-veg), sourdough pizza (incl a vegan option, but no gluten-free), toasties, baked goods from our bakery Proof, and more. 


Tickets are £15 and inclusive of a festival glass. This is a family-friendly event, though alcohol service is restricted to those 18+, and children 5 years and under are free. Everyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday 11th - Bring Your Own Vinyl

Orbit Beers Taproom 

 


Our resident DJ will be in playing records all night long. Bring your vinyl along, get on the decks and play 20 minutes of your favourite tracks for a free pint!

2nd Friday of every month.

 

Saturday 12th August

Elephant Sounds

Elephant Park

Elephant Park is just down the road from the Orbit Taproom, and our pals at Little Louie will have a stall serving Orbit beers to you on the square. Get down there for some great music, food, beers and sunshine, as it's looking like a scorcher of a Saturday!

Friday 11th - Saturday 12th August

London Craft Beer Festival 

Tobacco Dock


We'll be at London Craft Beer Festival over this weekend, serving up some Orbit specials such as our award-winning Nico served from the wood, the famous Tzatziki Sour, and our barrel-aged Cuvee de Cologne 2023. Expect a fantastic lineup of breweries, food vendors, and DJs across two days - including our very own SuperFu (Friday Night) with the legendary Leng Records.

Thursday 17th - Spoken Word/Poetry Night

Orbit Taproom

 

  Get down to the taproom on Thursday 17th August for the next instalment of Poetry Open Mic Night. Share lyrics, poetry, and thoughts, with or without music in an inclusive, relaxed, and supportive space. Pop in and chat with Felix beforehand if you're keen to know more, or just come along on the night and find out.

 

Saturday 19th - Vinyl DJs at the taproom

We're saying goodbye to a good friend of the brewery and one of our regular DJs on the 19th, Paolo and Paloma are moving to Mexico in September! Come on down Saturday night for one of Paolo's last sets, bring some vinyl with you if you like and join us in giving them a good send-off.

Pub Quiz & Cue Point BBQ Platters

Every Sunday at the taproom you can take part in our Pub Quiz from 6pm for the chance to win a £60 bar tab, so be sure to get a table booked in! 
Cue Point will also be serving their new BBQ platters for the summer from midday. New Menu coming soon. Check here.
